Referral engine

The Professional Connector Network: a referral engine for business owners.

The Professional Connector Network is Growth-Scaling’s referral engine — a curated group of attorneys, accountants, bankers, and owners who route qualified business to one another. David Mitroff founded the original Professional Connector; this is that model, run as the Authority & Connection rung of the Service Ladder.

Referrals are a system, not luck — built, measured, and maintained.
How it works

Referrals, engineered like any other system.

A referral network fails when it’s left to chance. We run it as a system — who’s in it, how introductions happen, and how the loop is tracked. SCORE’s mentoring resources and the Department of Labor back the basics of running a compliant, professional operation.

01

Curated membership

Problem

Open networking rooms are mostly noise and repeat pitches.

Solution

We curate complementary professionals — attorney, accountant, banker, owner.

Resolution

Every member can send you business worth having.

02

Structured introductions

Problem

“Let’s grab coffee” rarely turns into a traceable referral.

Solution

Introductions follow a format tied to real client needs, at events and between them.

Resolution

Referrals arrive warm, qualified, and countable.

03

Tracked loop

Problem

No one measures whether referrals convert, so the network drifts.

Solution

We track introductions to outcomes, the way we track any marketing channel.

Resolution

The network compounds instead of fading after the first quarter.

Become a referral partner

A seat is a responsibility, not a badge.

Membership is curated, so we’re selective on purpose: one strong attorney, one accountant, one banker per circle, not five of each. Partners are expected to give referrals, not just take them — that’s what keeps the loop honest. We keep every claim inside the FTC’s advertising guidance.

The network runs alongside our events & diagnostics, and the founder story is on the about page. To be considered, start with an Assessment so we understand your business first.

FAQ

About the network

How soon should I act on this?

Sooner is better, because seats in each circle are limited by design. A circle holds one strong professional per category, so once a seat in your field is filled, the next opening may be a while out. If referral business matters to your pipeline, it’s worth starting the conversation now rather than after a slow quarter. The first step is an Assessment, so we understand your business before placing you.

Who is in the network?

Complementary professionals who serve the same owners from different angles — attorneys, accountants, bankers, and business owners. The point of curation is that everyone in a circle can plausibly send you qualified work, and you can send it back. We keep circles small so relationships are real rather than a business-card exchange. Membership is by fit, not by fee alone.

How do I become a referral partner?

Start with an Assessment so we understand your business, your ideal client, and what a good referral looks like for you. From there we place you in a circle where your category is open and the fit is strong. We’re selective because a mismatched member weakens the whole loop for everyone else. Reach out through the contact page to begin.

Is there a fee to join?

The network is part of the Authority & Connection Engine rung of the Service Ladder, so it’s structured as part of a client engagement rather than a standalone membership card. Specifics are confirmed after the Assessment, because scope depends on how central referrals are to your growth. We don’t quote it in the abstract for the same reason we don’t quote a retainer blind. You’ll always know the terms before you commit.

How does this connect to your events?

The events are where introductions happen in person, and the network is the standing relationship between them. A diagnostic lunch or workshop seeds new connections; the network keeps them producing after everyone goes home. Together they turn one-off meetings into a referral loop you can measure. See the events & diagnostics page for what’s coming up.

The Assessment is paid, runs about two hours, and ends with numbers you keep — whether or not we work together.
